IAM
모든 것의 근원, '나'
세상 모든 것들은,
그것들이 받아들여질 때,
빛에 의해 외부로 나타난다.
외부에 나타난 것들은 모두 빛이다.

All things, when they are admitted,
are made manifest by the light: for everything
that is made manifest is light.[Ephesians 5:13]
'빛'은 의식이며, 의식은 다양한 형상과 수준으로 나타날지라도 결국 '하나'입니다.
THE "LIGHT" is consciousness. Consciousness is one, manifesting in legions of forms or levels of consciousness.
그 하나가 아닌 것이 없습니다. 왜냐하면 의식은 무한하게 많은 상태들로 외부에 모습을 드러내지만 나누어질 수 없기 때문입니다. 의식에는 실제로 분리나 차이가 존재하지 않습니다. 이 하나의 I AM(나)이라는 의식은 나눠질 수 없습니다. 나는(IAM) 스스로를 부자, 가난한 사람 혹은 도둑으로 여길 수도 있지만 내 존재의 중심인 I AM은 내가 가진 자아관념과 상관없이 언제나 그대로입니다. 나의 존재 중심에는 I AM(나)만이 존재하며 이것이 수많은 형태들과 자아관념을 외부 세상에 나타내고 있습니다. 나는 I AM입니다.
There is no one that is not all that is, for consciousness, though expressed in an infinite series of levels, is not divisional. There is no real separation or gap in consciousness. I AM cannot be divided. I may conceive myself to be a rich man, a poor man, a beggar man or a thief, but the center of my being remains the same, regardless of the concept I hold of myself. At the center of manifestation, there is only one I AM manifesting in legions of forms or concepts of itself and "I am that I am".
I AM은 절대자가 자신을 지칭하는 말이며 만물이 기반하는 토대입니다. I AM은 첫 번째 원인 재료입니다. I AM은 하느님의 스스로에 대한 인식입니다.
I AM is the self-definition of the absolute, the foundation on which everything rests. I AM is the first cause-substance. I AM is the self-definition of God.

나는(I AM) 나라고 받아들이고 있는 자이다. [출애굽기 3:14]

Be still and know that I AM God. [Psalm 46:10]
I AM은 영원한 인식의 느낌입니다. 인식의 참다운 중심에는 I AM에 대한 느낌이 있습니다. 내가 누구인지, 내가 어디 있는지, 내가 무엇인지를 잊어버릴 수도 있지만 내가 존재함을 잊을 수는없습니다. 존재함에 대한 인식은 내가 누구이고, 어디 있고, 무엇인지를 잊어버리는 것과는 관계없이 여전히 남아있습니다.
I AM is a feeling of permanent awareness. The very center of consciousness is the feeling of I AM. I may forget who I am, where I am, what I am, but I cannot forget that I AM. The awareness of being remains, regardless of the degree of forgetfulness of who, where and what I am.
I AM은 무수히 많은 형상들 속에서도 항상 동일함을 유지하고 있습니다.
I AM is that which, amid unnumbered forms, is ever the same.
I AM이 모든 것의 원인이라는 위대한 발견을 하게 되면 인간은 좋든 나쁘든 자기 운명의 결정권자가 되며 나에 대한 자아관념(나의 삶에 대한 반응들)이 내가 살고 있는 세상을 결정짓는다는 진리를 깨닫게 됩니다. 다시 말해 당신이 이런 '원인에 대한 진리'를 이해한다면 당신이 병을 앓게 될 때 당신은 병의 원인이 '나는 건강하지 않다'라고 정의된 자아관념임을 알게 되고, 그래서 근본 원인재료가 그 자아관념에 맞춰 특정하게 배열되었기 때문이라고 말하게 될 것입니다. 그래서 다음과 같은 성경말씀이 있습니다.
This great discovery of cause reveals that, good or bad, man is actually the arbiter of his own fate, and that it is his concept of himself that determines the world in which he lives [and his concept of himself is his reactions to life]. In other words, if you are experiencing ill health, knowing the truth about cause, you cannot attribute the illness to anything other than to the particular arrangement of the basic cause-substance, an arrangement which [was produced by your reactions to life, and] is defined by your concept "I am unwell".
약한 자로 하여금 '나는 강하다'라고 말하게 하라. [요엘서 3:10]
왜냐하면 자신이 사실로 받아들인 것(전제)에 맞춰, 첫 번째 원인재료인 I AM이 재배열되고 그것이 굳어져 외부에 나타나기 때문입니다. 이 원칙은 당신의 사회적, 재정적, 지적 또는 영적인 삶의 모든 측면을 지배합니다.
This is why you are told "Let the weak man say, 'I am strong'" (Joel 3:10), for by his assumption, the cause-substance – I AM – is rearranged and must, therefore, manifest that which its rearrangement affirms. This principle governs every aspect of your life, be it social, financial, intellectual, or spiritual.
나는(I AM) 삶에 어떤 일들이 발생하든 그것들의 원인을 밝혀줄 수 있는 실체입니다. 내가(I AM)갖고 있는 자아관념이 그 존재의 형태와 환경을 결정짓습니다.
I AM is that reality to which, whatever happens, we must turn for an explanation of the phenomena of life. It is I AM's concept of itself that determines the form and scenery of its existence.
모든 것은 자신에 대한 태도에 달려있습니다. 스스로에게 사실이라고 확고히 하지 않은 것은 자신의 세상에서 깨어날 수 없습니다.
Everything depends upon its attitude towards itself; that which it will not affirm as true of itself cannot awaken in its world.
즉, “나는 강하다”, “나는 안전하다”, “나는 사랑받고 있다”와 같은 당신의 자아관념이 당신이 살고 있는 세상을 결정합니다. 당신이 "나는 사람이다, 나는 아버지이다, 나는 미국사람이다"라고 말할 때 당신은 다른 I AM을 규정짓는 것이 아니고 하나의 원인 재료인 하나의 I AM을 다양한 개념이나 배열로 규정짓고 있는 것입니다.
That is, your concept of yourself, such as "I am strong", "I am secure", "I am loved", determines the world in which you live. In other words, when you say, "I am a man, I am a father, I am an American", you are not defining different I AM's; you are defining different concepts or arrangements of the one cause-substance – the one I AM.
심지어 만약 나무가 말을 할 수 있다면 그 나무는 "나는 나무이다, 사과나무이다, 열매를 많이 맺는 나무이다”라고 말할 것입니다.
Even in the phenomena of nature, if the tree were articulate, it would say, "I am a tree, an apple tree, a fruitful tree".
당신은 의식이 단 하나의 유일한 실체라는 것과, 자신이 생각하는 것에 따라 그 모습이 된다는 것을 깨닫게 되면, 마음 외부에 있는 원인들이 삶에 영향을 준다는 믿음을 버리게 됩니다. 이렇게 되면 외부 세계의 폭압이라는 두 번째 원인으로부터 벗어날 수 있습니다.
When you know that consciousness is the one and only reality – conceiving itself to be something good, bad or indifferent, and becoming that which it conceived itself to be – you are free from the tyranny of second causes, free from the belief that there are causes outside of your own mind that can affect your life.
당신은 삶에서 왜 이런 일들이 일어났는지에 대한 대답을 당신의 의식 상태 안에서 발견하게 됩니다.
In the state of consciousness of the individual is found the explanation of the phenomena of life.
당신의 자아관념이 달라지면, 당신의 세상도 모두 달라질 것입니다.
If man's concept of himself were different, everything in his world would be different.
당신의 자아관념이 무엇이든, 당신의 세상에 나타나는 것은 그 관념과 같아집니다.
His concept of himself being what it is, everything in his world must be as it is.
따라서 단 하나의 I AM만이 존재하며, 당신의 본질이 그 I AM이라는 것은 아주 분명합니다. 그리고 I AM은 무한하지만 당신은, 당신의 자아관념으로 인해 그 무한한 IAM의 제한된 부분만을 드러내고 있습니다.
Thus it is abundantly clear that there is only one I AM and you are that I AM. And while I AM is infinite, you, by your concept of yourself, are displaying only a limited aspect of the infinite I AM.
